Be the author of your own story. Start your next chapter today.
What story are you telling yourself about you? (e.g., "I'm okay with feeling just okay. Life is overwhelming, after all." "I tried but I'm just not good enough." "Who am I to do this?") Where did these stories come from? Are they helpful? Or is there room to re-write the narrative? As a Narrative Therapist, I work with individuals who experience a wide range of psychological and interpersonal difficulties who are hoping to re-write the narratives that are holding them back. I approach my clients with compassion and believe that you can always start a new chapter.
Narrative Therapy seeks to identify the helpful (and not-so-helpful) stories you may hold and identify where there is room to adjust the narrative, in order to bring about positive change. With your values and goals as the guiding point, therapy can help you move towards a storyline that is more closely aligned with the vision you have for your life.
With a focus on how we create our own narratives, I welcome a diverse range of clients into my practice, notably with issues related to: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, childhood and family issues, self-esteem, career-related stress, school-related stress, life transitions, loss and bereavement, fertility and parenting issues, and women's issues.

Therapy with Marilyn
Social Worker, Psychotherapist
I am a Registered Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in the fields of Addiction and Mental Health. I’m also a mom of two, living in Toronto, who enjoys unwinding with a good book and spending time outdoors exploring nature.
My passion for social work and psychotherapy began with a deep desire to understand the complexities of human behavior and relationships. Early in my career, I witnessed how meaningful change could happen when people felt truly heard and supported.
During my time at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), I gained an in-depth understanding of mental health and addictions, as well as how these challenges connect to family dynamics and broader life experiences. I worked in both the Addictions Program and the Women’s Inpatient Unit, where I provided individual and group therapy. In the Addictions Program, I helped clients set meaningful goals and develop the skills to achieve them. I also gained specialized experience supporting family members who are concerned about the substance use of a loved one. I helped families improve their own self-care, and set healthy boundaries, fostering resilience and healthier family dynamics. In the Women’s Inpatient Unit, I supported women facing complex mental health challenges, deepening my understanding of trauma, resilience, and recovery. These experiences have shaped my compassionate, goal-oriented approach to therapy, where I help client’s break unhealthy patterns and move towards lasting well-being.
For the past four years, I’ve been running my own private practice, where I continue to help clients discover their strengths, improve their well-being, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, including BIPOC individuals, teens, couples and families, addressing challenges such as anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, addiction and navigating life transitions. I am committed to fostering healing and transformation by meeting each client where they are and supporting them on their journey toward lasting change.

Individual, Couples, & Family Psychotherapist
I have always been fascinated by different personalities and how we interact. Healthy relationships, whether it be with self, friendships, romantic, work, family, or parenting, were a mystery that I wanted to unlock. Of course, I was therefore drawn to the Adlerian Perspective when I entered into the world of psychology. This perspective focuses on the uniqueness and internal motivations of the individual while understanding that we exist in a world of relationships from the moment we are born. For this reason, all of our behaviours and thought patterns were adaptive at one point in our life and allowed us to thrive in the ways we needed.
Through the therapeutic process we work together to understand this, unfold where it might hinder you currently, but most importantly to bring to light where your strengths lie and how to find more meaning from your own life and your current relationships. I have built a strong practice for over 5 years in this setting, approaching therapy holistically and fitting the therapy process to the client(s) to match their needs and goals through trust and alliance.
With couples I work with patterns of communication, expectations, love cycles, intimacy, communication, expectations, trust, alliance, attachment patterns, changes in the relationship, our ideas or romance, past relationship traumas, and infidelity.
With families, I work to establish healthy communication patterns, harmonious homes, and positive parenting. I also focus on working with understanding challenging behaviours of children, developmental stages, motivating our children, using encouragement in the home, and parenting styles

Kirstyn Greenside Counselling & Psychotherapy
Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist
I am a registered social worker, and body-positive psychotherapist, specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, compulsive exercise, and body image concerns. My expertise also stretches to working with experiences of dissociation and personality disorders.
After my own personal journey and relationship with food, body image, and exercise, I feel so privileged to be working in a space with individuals who are facing many struggles similar to these. I believe that in a culture focused on body image and beauty, it is completely natural that we internalize shame, guilt, and dysmorphia around our bodies. If this sounds like you, you are not alone. Eating, exercise, and body image issues are more common than ever. Food restricting & bingeing, and compulsive exercising, may have acted as coping strategies to handle deeper-rooted issues– they have acted as a means of control and comfort, when maybe you felt like you had none. In many cases, we try to change our bodies to carry the weight of trauma, social pressures, or a lost sense of control. The purpose of my practice is to foster sustainable emotional growth– this means a relationship with your body that encourages self-worth, value, and connection.
My Approach:
I embrace anti-oppressive, size-inclusive, client-centred, and trauma-informed frameworks, from a psychodynamic and integrative approach. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from Ryerson University, as well as a Bachelor in Social Work degree from Carleton University, and have been working in the field of mental health throughout. I am professionally trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), as well as training in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and structural dissociation parts work.

I’m a trans identified person who has struggled with depression, anxiety and self image, I know from experience that breaking the silence and finding the right person to talk to can be freeing. Therapy helped me to come to terms with my identity, manage my depression, and navigate transitioning, which allowed me to come out to my family. I realized that even though things are not exactly how I want them to be, I’m okay, I am resilient, I have support, and I have someone to talk to.
I have been working with and advocating for the queer and trans community since 2012. My work has spanned three provinces and continues to expand and grow in Toronto.
I have a particular interest in working with queer and trans-identified people as well as the parents or partners of queer and trans individuals.

Hi, I am Kate Love.
Motherhood rocked my world. From the moment I found out I was entering motherhood, I began to navigate change and loss. As a mother-to-be of two at once, my expectations of “how things would go” went out the window. At the same time, I navigated the devastation of losing my own mother. I both created and lost my family at the same time. I had to hold multiple feelings and experiences at once. I know this is a common and tricky experience in parenthood that I continue to juggle.
In my practice, I want to support other parents riding the roller coaster of parenthood, including fertility, navigating pregnancy loss and a wide range of other experiences. My mom called these the “vicissitudes of life.” I have a special interest in providing support around grief and loss and exploring all the ways those themes show up during the perinatal, postnatal period and beyond.
My therapy practice is integrative, person-centred, trauma-informed, and adapted to meet each of my client's individual needs. My goal is to provide support, bear witness and create spaces for clients to process the messiness of being human.
Please reach out to book a session with me: contact.katelove@gmail.com
