In the busy, hectic and somewhat nonsensical world of today, you can feel lost, confused, or stuck. I want to be there with you as you navigate these frustrating times. My clients are determined to work on the unanswered questions that life has thrown their way. Maybe you feel stuck in relationships – at work or in your personal life. Maybe society has made it incredibly unbearable for you to be you. Or perhaps you are going through a specific challenge that is making you feel helpless. It is in our nature to want to improve, to heal and move forward and upward. We are wired to survive. As Rumi says, what you are seeking, you already are. And you already have all the survival tools that you require to reshape your life the way you want it to be. In our work together, we will identify your goals in your life and in your relationships and work towards achieving them. We will tap into your strengths and together we will look for options that fit best for you. Change is hard. You don’t have to do it alone. Working with a caring, supportive, and compassionate therapist can help you to examine problems from a new light, identify solutions, and make the changes that are right for you. In our work together, I will get to know who you are, how you got here, and where you would like to go. My job is to be with you and to share the knowledge, experiences, tools and resources that can help you get there. I offer approaches such as narrative therapy, schema therapy, psychodynamic, CBT, and other modalities. As we work together, we will create a treatment plan tailor made for you. As a new Canadian and a Middle-Eastern woman of colour with experience living under an oppressive radical theocracy, my therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in having empathy towards those who find themselves stuck. We don’t all get to enjoy the privileges of race, wealth, health, or peace. Despite that, therapy can help us look at the narrative of our lives with compassion and empathy for ourselves. I am excited and passionate about helping you to reshape your story and find more peace.

Are you someone who finds yourself overthinking everything, feeling stuck, or unsure about your relationships or where your life is going? On the outside, things may seem okay, but internally it can feel overwhelming, confusing, or even a little lonely, especially if you’re navigating life between cultures or adjusting to a new environment. Growing up in India, where mental health wasn’t always openly talked about, and through my own journey of moving to Canada, I’ve seen how often people struggle silently without fully understanding what they’re going through. You don’t have to hold it all on your own. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Q) and MA in Counselling Psychology student under clinical supervision, I take a client-centred, presence-focused approach, integrating CBT to explore your thoughts and patterns while supporting you at your own pace supportive grounded way. I work with young adults navigating anxiety, relationships, and life transitions. If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out to book a complimentary 30-minute consultation. We can connect, begin to explore what you’re going through at your own pace, and see if working together feels like the right fit for you.

We will do this by practicing compassion and empathy towards all versions of the self. Whether you are looking for support as you navigate life's changes, or are struggling to manage intrusive or anxious thoughts, I'm ready to meet you exactly where you are. My therapeutic style is warm, accepting, flexible and conversational. I believe clients are the experts of their own lives and I approach our work together with curiosity and humility. As a queer and neurodivergent woman, I understand how the systems we live within shape our lives, and am committed to an intersectional, feminist, anti-oppressive approach to therapy. I take an eclectic approach with clients, primarily using relational, IFS and ACT approaches. I aim to explore your experiences and understand the meaning that you have attached to them. I strive to help clients heal by working with them to feel at home in their bodies and live an authentic life. I also have a special interest in treating clients with OCD. If you'd like to explore the possibility of working together, feel free to reach out to me to book a 20-30 minute virtual consult to learn more about each other. I offer in-person and online sessions, and can offer sliding scale prices for those in need.
Dr. Jackie Cappell PhD VIDEO THERAPY
Cappell Psychology
Clinical Psychologist
I’m a clinical psychologist who works with adults and couples seeking deeper insight, emotional clarity, and more meaningful connection. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and capable in so many areas of their life, yet carry a quiet sense that something isn’t quite right. They may feel stuck in relational patterns, disconnected from themselves or their partner, or unsure how to know and express what they truly need. You might feel stuck in painful relational patterns that repeat despite your best efforts. Or maybe the idea of turning inward feels unfamiliar or even daunting, especially if you’ve learned to cope by staying in control, focusing on doing rather than feeling, or relying on logic and self-reliance to get through. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based model that explores the emotional roots of distress. EFT helps individuals and couples understand their inner experience with more compassion and communicate in ways that build safety, connection, and lasting change. In our work together, I offer a steady, attuned presence and a space where all parts of you are welcome, even the ones that feel guarded, messy, or unsure. Rather than fixing, I aim to help you understand yourself more fully, shift long-standing patterns, and move toward greater emotional connection with yourself and with others. If you’re longing for deeper connection, more security in your relationships, and a clearer understanding of your emotional world, I’d be honoured to support you on that journey. I’m a registered psychologist in Ontario with a Master’s and Ph.D. in psychology. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions.

Dr. Michele Locke Psychological Services
Clinical Psychologist
Michele Locke graduated with her doctorate from the Clinical Developmental Psychology program at the University of Guelph. Michele works with children, youth, young adults, and parents using a variety of therapeutic approaches based on the needs of her clients. Her training and experience is primarily in dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and attached/caregiving based interventions. Michele's primary therapeutic work is providing parent/caregiver psychotherapy for those with children aged 2 to 18 years. Michele strives to work collaboratively with her clients in an effort to provide a positive therapeutic experience. Her goal is to ensure clients and families are active participants in developing treatment goals and plans, in order to best facilitate positive change. Michele aims to provide the most appropriate evidence-based care, though ensuring interventions are individualized to meet client needs. She believes strongly in the importance of promoting resilience, building interpersonal strengths, early intervention, and open dialogue/collaboration with her clients. Michele completed her internship in an inpatient secure treatment setting, working with youth with urgent mental health concerns (e.g., suicidal behaviour, non-suicidal self-injury, psychosis) and at McMaster Children’s Hospital working with children exposed to child maltreatment and complex trauma. She worked for 7 years at Broadview Psychology as part of the comprehensive DBT intervention team. She now works in her own practice in the Junction, Toronto, providing services to kids, adolescents, and parents. She provides group and individual services. In her spare time, Michele enjoys being active, spending time with family and friends, and trying out new restaurants around the city.

What is "well-being" in today's world? I believe the openness to heal requires our mutual commitment and in my practice, I carry a sensibility that prioritizes your comfort and our ability to connect faithfully. I've been practicing psychotherapy and arts-based methods for three years and in 2025 completed a research project with Toronto Art Therapy Institute about the growing field of eco-art therapy as a means to explore womb health issues and its intersections with environmental health. Most of my experience has been in rehabilitation, providing psychotherapy and art therapy to inpatients undergoing orthopaedic care, dialysis, and palliative care. I have faced a wide variety of physical and psychosocial needs and recognize the importance of both in holistic treatment. I offer a warm compassionate space for clients of all ages and backgrounds, with most of my experience working with adults and older adults.
