Whether you are brand new or experienced in your therapy journey, I encourage all to come exactly where they are. In our sessions together, it is important to me to build a strong foundation of trust, compassion and authenticity. This is an approachable and safe space to unpack the origins of your current struggles. I am passionate about integrating all parts of one’s life including cultural influences, childhood and family dynamics, sense of identity, interests and aspirations. With this, we can forge pathways towards reduced suffering and more fulfilment, confidence, joy and clarity in life. I support individuals in putting together the puzzle pieces of their past, present and future. This can help with better understanding ourselves and examining the roots of our difficulties and traumas. Along the way, we will build practical skills and strategies to better cope with life's challenges, reduce suffering and ultimately, pave a pathway forward. I believe in sharing kindness for those who are struggling to find the kind voices within themselves. We do not need to take it all on ourselves and I hope that I can join you in exploring complex dynamics of life. I work with diverse individuals with a wide range of goals. I became a therapist because, just like you, I am human and have had my fair share of battles. It took a long time for me to get to where I am today. I recognize that in moments of hopelessness, it is hard to find determination, that depression can be scary, that anxiety can be overwhelming, and that traumatic experiences can leave one feeling emotionally exhausted and drained out. I acknowledge the stigma associated with mental health and in going to therapy. For this reason, I know how crucial it is to provide therapy that is client-centered, empathetic, and unique to each person’s needs. It would be a privilege to accompany you on your journey. Whether your journey is one about self-discovery and exploration, or about developing tools to manage challenges and healing, I can help. Sometimes, you need a safe place where you can share and be vulnerable, a place where you can sort through your thoughts, a place where you can learn to express emotion, and a place that allows you to work towards growth and empowerment. Having been a client first, and a therapist later, the process towards healing and growth can be a rewarding experience for both, the client and the therapist. My goal is to make you feel heard and valued. Our lives can be full of meaning and purpose – we just have to find it. My modalities include: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioural Activation, Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Exposure Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic, Trauma Focused Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy Protocol, And Solution Focused Therapy.
