Registered Counsellor
I support individuals in overcoming disempowerment through a warm, welcoming therapeutic environment. Clients who have worked with me appreciate my non-judgmental nature and compassionate listening, often seeking my support for a safe place to share vulnerable experiences they haven't disclosed to anyone else without feeling judged or isolated. I adopt a 'human-first' approach, prioritizing connecting with you as a fellow human being.
I gently guide clients to deepen their understanding of themselves using an integrative range of therapies designed for their unique journey. My goal is for clients to gain a clearer perspective of the root of their challenges and discover new coping strategies that feel authentic and empowering to them.

I specialize in helping people with bipolar disorder and their families discover hope, foster recovery, and build resiliency. With appropriate medication, tools, and support, it is possible for people with bipolar disorder to live happy and productive lives! I assist clients with identifying their triggers for mood episodes, developing effective self-management strategies, and improving quality of life and relationships. While my focus is bipolar disorder, you do not have to have a bipolar diagnosis or be a loved one of someone with bipolar to receive counselling from me. I am person-centred, not issue-centred!
My approach is non-judgmental, affirming, and genuine. I will respect where you are at in your journey, and treat you as a whole person, not just your condition or issue. I always take my client's environment, society, and culture into consideration and help them find practical solutions.
I believe that people have all the resources within themselves to find balance and harmony in their lives. My mission is to help my clients access those resources and discover their ability to fulfill their own potential for growth.
