As a professional counsellor, Wade adheres to the standards of practice, values, and code of ethics of the British Columbia Association of Registered Clinical Counsellors, the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and the Canadian Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Wade considers himself an eclectic counselling professional, and he has also been employed in the mental health care field as a registered nurse for over 20 years with the majority of his time working with clients who have psychiatric-mental health and addiction-based issues. He holds a masters degree in counselling psychology, and a masters degree in advanced nursing practice mental health. Barry has been helping individuals to improve their mental health in Kamloops since 2011. Areas of practice include: assisting individuals with trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, substance use, personality difficulties, and family and relationship difficulties. Barry has a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, is in the final phase of completing his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD), and his research focus is emotional self-regulation.
