We all get lonely, sad, worried, and irritated when home feels hard.
It's not just you. Counselling can help.
I am the owner of YEG Family Counselling and have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years. I love working with people to help support the most important relationships and connections in their lives using Emotionally Focused Therapy and other Neuro-science informed techniques. I especially love working with pairs and groups of people, including parents and kids, sibling groups of all ages, and couples of all types. My primary objective is to create a space for you to work through painful things safely.

Fresh Hope Counselling
Registered Psychologist
Beth Murray is a Registered Psychologist who believes in Hope! She is an Eating Disorders Specialist, Christian Counsellor (optional) and has her post-graduate certificate in Chronic Pain Management. Beth Murray founded Fresh Hope Counselling in 2006. She is a life-long learner who is always adding new skills, education and training to her 20 + years experience.
Beth is an action oriented therapist who wants to see her clients move into health, healing, freedom and hope as quickly as possible. Her approach to counselling includes building a strong therapeutic alliance/connection with her clients. Together they look at the issues that are causing distress or dysfunction in their present lives. She teaches skills derived from DBT and CBT. These skills help clients to gain victory over eating disorders, mood disorders -- including depression and anxiety, and stress management.
Beth Murray has turned her focus in recent years to include specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Trauma and Chronic Pain Management. Although many of her clients struggle with eating disorders -- anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and EDNOS -- she is highly adept at working with clients who are finding themselves stuck in ineffective beliefs that lead to self-sabotaging behaviours.

Mental health issues can come from many sources - lacking life direction, relationship problems, disconnection from emotions, or when different parts of ourselves are in conflict, to name a few. I help clients to identify and resolve the source of their issues so that they can move beyond coping and toward change and healing. Because every person has unique needs, concerns, and strengths, I work with every client to create a personalized treatment approach.
I am especially drawn to working with anxiety, depression and mood disorders, relationship issues, trauma/PTSD, existential/life purpose and meaning concerns, and LGBTQ+ issues - in addition to the issues listed on this page. I am passionate about working with adults of all ages, adolescents 13+, and LGBTQ+ identifying individuals.
Please reach out for a free phone consultation to discuss what you are looking for in therapy, and perhaps we can work together to meet your goals.
