About
I am a registered social worker and psychotherapist specializing in trauma, grief/loss and some areas of mental health. We have all experienced situations that have negatively impacted us. We all experience challenging events in our lives and sometimes those events are cumulative taking it's toll over time.
My educational background includes a Bachelor and Master Degree in Social Work along with a Trauma Certificate. I've been in the social work field for over 25 years and have worked in a variety of counselling and mental health settings. I provide therapy to some older youth, adults and seniors. I have worked directly with police services and understand the unique experiences, challenges and systemic issues faced by first responders.
Talk therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) are just a few of the modalities used to help you start feeling like yourself again. Sometimes we just need a neutral party with a listening ear to validate our feelings and experiences. I offer a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs.
