About
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and available to provide clinical supervision to therapists who wish to gain support and feedback in their therapeutic practice. I have significant knowledge and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and have developed and facilitated group therapy in hospital, post-secondary, and community settings. I also actively used Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) in my practice.
I currently work as a Mental Health Clinician at the Integrated Movement Disorders Program at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, and previously worked at the Poul Hansen Family Centre for Depression, the Canadian Hearing Society, and as an interim Operations Lead for UHN's Centre for Mental Health.
I am an active member of the Canadian Network for Compassion Focused Therapy Toronto and am passionate about teaching and sharing how active engagement in compassion can lead to improved wellbeing. I have published and presented on psychotherapy research in Canadian and international publications and conferences, primarily on topics related to multicultural counselling.
Please feel free to send me an email at s.willisoconnor@gmail.com with any questions!
