About
I have over a dozen years experience working in hospitals, schools, addiction rehabilitation, and private practice. I work with families and individuals of all ages towards a shared understanding of each person’s struggle, and a gentle, persistent look for the unmet need underlying every struggle, symptom, or behaviour. I have seen problems with mood, personality, behaviour, addictions, and attachment resolve into profound self-acceptance.
I offer assessment, treatment planning, individual and group art therapy and psychotherapy. I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a broad range of mental health, behavioural, emotional, developmental, relational, and psychological difficulties, including trauma. I also work with parents on resolving problems in disciplining and understanding a child’s behaviour.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Art Therapist, with 15 years of experience working with all ages in hospitals, hospice, schools, addiction rehabilitation, and private practice. My training began with graduate work in art therapy (M.A., Concordia University, Montreal), and has continued in my work as art therapist at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, and as a family consultant for the Lester B. Pearson School Board (Montreal). I specialize in child/ adolescent development and mental health as a candidate in my final year at the Canadian Institute in Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
I teach on psychodynamic theory and technique, and child and adolescent development in art therapy for the Toronto Art Therapy Institute.
