About
Starting counselling for the first time or at any point can be a very intimidating process. My priority is to make this experience less overwhelming by being transparent about the process, helping you identify the challenges you're currently facing, making goals, and creating a plan for change that you are comfortable with. We will explore the situation(s) that have brought you to counselling, discuss how you have coped so far and start to take on new perspectives by understanding the way your emotions and thoughts are impacting how you feel and behave. As a Registered Psychotherapist, I take a client-centered approach to our work together; you are the expert in your life. This means that your personal experience is our starting point and together we can build awareness about what has lead you to where you are now and make change. I want to support you in moving forward with your decision to get help, make meaningful change in your life, and most importantly to feel better. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to explore the possibility of starting counselling. Available Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays in Nepean.
