About
People would be surprised to find out that your life and marriage feel like a train wreck. Whenever friends ask how you’re doing, you always tell them you’re fine. On the outside, you look like you have it all together, but truth is, on the inside you’re a mess. Every day you exhaust yourself in a desperate attempt to find some control over the chaos in your life. You’ve always been able to work harder, do more and figure out some sort of a solution, but right now, you feel like you’re grasping at straws. You have no sweet clue how to quit fighting with your husband and you feel terrible when you think about how a divorce might impact your kids. You knew something was really wrong when you bailed on your friends for the third time this month and stayed home because you just didn't have the energy to 'put on the mask' for a girls night out. And so here you are, feeling like a failure because you’ve worked so hard to create a stable, loving relationship, a career and a balanced life, but no matter what you try, it feels like you just can’t keep it all together. What would it be like to connect more deeply in your marriage, so every fight won’t feel like it’s the end of your relationship. To finally be able to make tough decisions and feel like you're in it together and on the same team. Imagine how good it would feel to be able to move past some of the old hurts so they don't keep resurfacing with the same sting. Couples counselling can help with this. Wouldn't it be nice to feel a greater sense of internal peace, and learn how to keep you inner critic from holding you back. Imagine finally living in line with your values and being the kind of person you want to be instead of being driven by your worries or fears about judgement from others. Think about how freeing it will be to say 'no' to those the things that you know deep in your heart you don't want to do, but have been doing to please others. Individual counselling can help with this. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you on this journey. I have an easy to use online booking system https://restorecounselling.janeapp.com I offer afternoon/evening and weekend hours and work out of a convenient location on the Bedford Highway with free parking.
