About
I specialize in helping people with bipolar disorder and their families discover hope, foster recovery, and build resiliency. With appropriate medication, tools, and support, it is possible for people with bipolar disorder to live happy and productive lives! I assist clients with identifying their triggers for mood episodes, developing effective self-management strategies, and improving quality of life and relationships. While my focus is bipolar disorder, you do not have to have a bipolar diagnosis or be a loved one of someone with bipolar to receive counselling from me. I am person-centred, not issue-centred! My approach is non-judgmental, affirming, and genuine. I will respect where you are at in your journey, and treat you as a whole person, not just your condition or issue. I always take my client's environment, society, and culture into consideration and help them find practical solutions. I believe that people have all the resources within themselves to find balance and harmony in their lives. My mission is to help my clients access those resources and discover their ability to fulfill their own potential for growth.
