About
My personal therapy philosophy is that in order to help others to build authentic relationships in their lives, I must be an authentic person as a psychotherapist. My approach to counselling involves a healthy mix of tools & techniques, psychoeducation, humour, dreamwork and untangling old patterns to help clients evolve and meet their goals. I provide therapy to adolescents & adults ages 16 and up. Using a collaborative and eclectic approach, clients experience relief and increased mental wellness through learning new coping and stress management skills, making behavioural changes, and addressing the emotional and mental obstacles that prevent them from reaching their goals. My services currently include individuals and couples therapy. My areas of practice include stress, anxiety disorders, depression & mood disorders, self-exploration, relationship issues, couples counselling, life transitions, grief & loss, and goal setting & motivation. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and have completed Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy. My office is barrier-free and accessible for all people, and my practice is LGBTQ friendly.
