My name is Dianne and I have both professional training and personal experience with hard and painful situations. Whether you feel hopeless, unsettled, conflicted or downright angry at your circumstances or maybe you just sense there is way more to this life than you are currently experiencing, I believe I can help. With my direct approach, it won’t take long to get to the heart of the issues, the core problems, so we can work together to find the best possible solutions. I come alongside individuals or couples, adults and teens, to help understand or change perspective so you can rewrite the narrative of your life. Together, we will explore what is causing the pain or conflict and take steps forward so you can enjoy life to the fullest. We will discuss the problems that have solutions and we might discover perpetual problems that need to be managed. Regardless, life will get better! We will laugh, and likely cry through some of the painful memories and life events you’ve had or the problems your are having, to uncover lies and distortions so you can experience the joy and freedom that we all desire.
There is no "one way" to help, rather we will set goals and work together to find what works best for you. Do you want immediate action steps or will it take you more time to warm up to the process? Either way, you are in the drivers seat. My role is to walk with you and encourage you or challenge you in a way that will help you grow. I won't work harder than you to improve you life, but I promise I will work as hard. I will equip and resource whenever and however I can with homework, handouts, book referrals or just a listening ear. Sometimes I might share a story that illustrates hope and healing, strength and change. There is hope no matter your situation or circumstance! Why live another day stuck or in misery? Specialty areas of counselling are sex or pornography addiction, co-dependency, drug and alcohol addiction, dysfunctional families, family of origin issues, grief and loss, trauma, infidelity, partners of sexual betrayal, and spiritual care.
